Constance "Connie" Estelle Beck, 83 of Cloquet passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 in Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet with her children by her side. She was born September 7, 1933 in Cloquet to Clarence and Esther Hennum. Connie graduated from Cloquet High School in 1951. She worked for the Johnson Company and Northwest Paper Company for a short time until she married Calvin Beck on April 18, 1953.
Connie was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and was active in its church circle and Sunday School. She loved music, especially playing the piano.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Beck and brother, Merton Hennum.
Connie is survived by three children, Steven (Bonnie) Beck of Iron River, Mich., Sharon (Kirk) Wimmer of Cloquet and Carol (Joe) Colt of Cloquet; brother, David Hennum of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren, Ryan (Jenny) Colt, Libby Colt, Carrie (Kevin) Alajoki, Andrew (Lyndsay) Beck, Karl (Cassy) Wimmer and Derek Wimmer; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and her little canine girl, Zoey.
The family would like to thank the caregiving staff at Sunnyside Health Care Center for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Connie. A special thank you to Clayton and Mary Beck for their love and support.
Visitation: Noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
