Floyd Leroy Koski
October 22, 1930 — May 6, 2003
Floyd LeRoy Koski, 72, of Carlton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 6, 2003. He was born October 22, 1930 in Finlayson, the son of Fred and Mabel (Larson) Koski. Floyd was a 1948 graduate of Finlayson High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Janet Dennie on July 26, 1958 in Carlton. Floyd had been employed at Wood Conversion, Conwed Corporation and USG in Cloquet, retiring on February 1, 1996 after 44 years of service. He was a member Nicholson-Sellgren VFW Post 2962 in Carlton, Carl Anderson American Legion Post 262 in Cloquet. He was a devoted and faithful member of Son Life Community Church in Wrenshall and Fond du Lac Community Church. He enjoyed working and playing on the computer, listening to music, playing his accordion, working in his yard and around the house. Floyd will fondly be remembered for his love of helping others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mabel and a brother, Orville Koski. Floyd was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his wife, Jan, of Carlton; his son, Brian (Lori) of Barnum; his daughter, Brenda (Fred) Helland of Hermantown; his five grandchildren, Natalie, Amanda, Joel, Erin and Emma; his sister, Stella Hultman of Sacramento, CA and his many loved ones and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet with a time of fellowship and lunch following in the funeral home's Fireside Room.
