James Allan Armstrong, 77, of Esko passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, in his home. He was born on August 4, 1944, in Duluth to Miles and Ellen (Moberg) Armstrong. He attended Hermantown High School. Jim and Donna were married 56 years.
Jim worked at Reserve Mining Co. in Silver Bay for 20 years, and 20 years at USG in Cloquet before retiring. He loved fishing, camping, yardwork and tinkering.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miles and Ellen Armstrong; and brother, Wesley.
Jim will be missed by his wife, Donna; son, Kurt (Lisa) Armstrong; daughters, Kristie, and Becky (Darren Guentzel) Armstrong; sisters, Gina (Ray) Joki, and Lois (Marvin) Kristensen; grandchildren, Alyssa (Jeremiah), Jessica, Jonathan, Alexander, Reese; and five great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Cemetery in Hermantown, MN. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet, to sign the guest book and leave an online tribute see, www.atkinsnorthlandfuneralhome.com
