Jessica Lynn Laukka

On April 4th, 2026 our beloved Jessica Lynn Laukka of Willow River, Minnesota, was granted eternal peace in the arms of Jesus. Jessica fought cancer courageously without complaint since her diagnosis in 2023. She consistently expressed her selflessness, love, and grace through each arduous step until the abrupt end.

Jessica was born November 12th, 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska and was raised there. She was a true Nebraska Cornhuskers fan and could often be found sporting red and black. She graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with a degree in social work and spent her career the same way she lived her life—serving others.

She married Nicholas, the love of her life, October 20th, 2018 in Ashland, Nebraska. They welcomed their beautiful daughter Lydia Noelle on May 13th, 2022.

Jessica was a devoted mother and wife, always putting their needs before her own. She loved her family and enjoyed frequent trips home to Nebraska, specifically honoring traditions like the annual Greeley Irish Festival. She also loved animals— especially her two dogs, Jax and Leo.

She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas O’Neill, and her grandparents.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Nicholas, daughter Lydia, mother Jacquie O’Neill, sister Danelle Yarbrough (Robert), brother Joe O’Neill, brother Shawn O’Neill (Keeley), in-laws Lew and Deanna Laukka, brother-in law Nathan Laukka (Amy), sister in-law Jenika Tumberg (Kaylor), 7 nieces, 3 nephews, and numerous extended family and many friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Esko, MN on Thursday April 9th, 2026. Visitation from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. and service at 3 p.m. Burial to follow at a later date.
