June Perry
d. September 11, 2012
Game, Set & Match; June Perry, 79, of Merritt Island joined the Lord’s tennis team following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, June was an avid tennis player competing on more than one team, playing as often as she could. Her passion for the game was only eclipsed by her competitive spirit. She loved the sport and didn’t like to lose. She also loved playing bridge, poker and the occasional bunko game. Though luck wasn’t always a lady, June very much enjoyed trips to Las Vegas-making special trips with her sisters and also with her daughter Kim. As a devoted member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church on Merritt Island, June would also volunteer to help prepare meals for church functions. She is survived by her son Tom Perry, daughters Linda Perry and Kim Riddle (Mickey), her sisters Carol Vogl (Richard) and Cindy Barczak (Bob) as well as her brother James Hart (Peggy). She is predeceased by her husband Neil Perry.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 1940 N. Courtenay Pkwy., Merritt Island, with a reception immediately following in the Golden Dome room of the church. Friends and family are welcome.
Flowers or donations to the American Cancer Society are welcome with gratitude from the family.
