Linda Ellen Sawkins

Linda Ellen Sawkins, passed away on Wednesday, August 18th peacefully with family at her side. Linda was a retiree of the USPS, a proud member of the La Fayette Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Columbia Presbyterian Church. She was always known for her crocheting of Grammie’s blankies, everyone had a Grammie blankie. She is survived by her children, Kim Allen (Robert) of Lake Mary, FL, Melissa Reed (Allen) of Central Square, NY, Daniel Sawkins Jr (Mary) of Brewerton, NY, Danielle Sawkins (Jim) of Jamesville, NY, Kristie Clarke (Dan) of La Fayette, NY, Charles John Sawkins (Tanya) of La Fayette, NY and Mallory Lynn Schaffer (Geno) of Truxton, NY. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 25th from 10 to12 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane., La Fayette, NY 13084. A funeral Service will be Wednesday, 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at La Fayette Rural Cemetery.
