Noel (Buddy) Kenneth Smith 86 of Satellite Beach FL passed away May 1, 2026. He was the son of Marion & Raymond K. Smith born in New Haven CT on December 21, 1939. Buddy was predeceased by his parents, brother Warren (Jean) sisters Nancy Smith and Karen (Walter) Dohna and grandson Cameron Edmonson.

He joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 in San Diego CA on his last leave home prior to discharge Buddy met the love of his life Diane back home in CT. They were married for 64 years and have three children together. He was a Plant Manager of Shell Oil Company in CT, upstate NY, and Long Island NY, he was also a Mason at Masonic Lodge 63 for 60 years.

After moving to Satellite Beach in 1987 he started a lawn business with his son Mark. During the Gulf War he offered his services free of charge to any military families at Patrick Airforce Base he was always reliable and willing to help wherever he could.

He enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing their favorite sports, he enjoyed family trips to Maine fishing on the lakes and the beautiful scenery around him he also loved fishing in FL too, he had a sense of humor and no matter what the situation was he would always make you laugh. Buddy enjoyed his sports he was an avid sports fan who loved his Boston Red Sox, NY Giants, NY Islanders, FL Gators and Orlando Magic.

Buddy loved his family very much and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Noel is survived by his loving wife Diane Rocheleau Smith sons Michael (Arleen) Mark (Peg) and daughter Wendy (Gary) Silvernail. His loving grandchildren Breanna, Stephanie, Justin, Kevin, Chy-Anne, Crystal and Chantelle and his loving great grandchildren Kylie, Lincoln, Kyojiro, Kora, Hudson, Alycia, Arthur and Andrew and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
