It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald (Ron) Joseph Roberson, Sr., 80, of Melbourne, FL, who was called to heaven on June 4, 2026.
Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sherri Otcenasek; his children, Ron Roberson, Jr., Kirsten Halfacre (Sean) and Lisa Stigall (Rodney); his cherished grandchildren, Hunter (Katie) & Brooke Halfacre; Nathan, Quinn & Daphne Stigall; and Alyse Kanger; and his great-grandson Hudson Halfacre. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Elizabeth Roberson, devoted wife of 50 years Judith Roberson, beloved grandson R.J. Roberson, and many other family and friends.
Born on March 20, 1946, in Detroit, MI, Ron was raised in Windber, PA and moved to Melbourne, FL in 1983. He was a graduate of Penn State University and the Florida Institute of Technology and continued to be an active alumna of Sigma Chi fraternity. Ron proudly served in the United States Army before beginning his career in automotive management followed by hospital administration. He found great joy and peace on the golf course, dedicating much of his free time to the sport he truly loved. He was an active member at Duran Golf Club for many years. Ron lived a life defined by his unwavering faith, his dedication to his family, and his kind, welcoming spirit.
Friends and family will be received at Beach Funeral Home (1689 South Patrick Drive, Satellite Beach) on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 5-7 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church (2950 N Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne) on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Following the mass, he will be laid to rest at Florida Memorial Gardens (5950 US-1, Rockledge). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ron’s charity of choice, Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
