Agnes Ann Ivory
October 18, 1934 — September 4, 2009
Agnes Ivory, of Cocoa Beach, passed away September 4th, 2009. She peacefully slipped from the arms of her loving family into the loving arms of her Lord. Born October 18th, 1934, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of James and Nora Prideaux, both deceased. She was the youngest of three children, and was preceded in death by her brother, Charles and her sister, Nora. Agnes spent her life in service as a member of the Grumman Wives Club, a Grey Lady at Our Saviour's School, as well as serving in numerous ministries at her church. The greatest joys in her life included the hours spent playing bridge with the ""Golden Girls"", and enjoying lunches and Bingo at the Moose with her friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Thomas and her six children; Edward and Joan Hanson (Miami, Fl.), Charles and Mary Hanson (New Berlin, NY) , Debbie and Peter Hanley (Sykesville, Md.) Donna and Peter Vary (Melbourne, Fl.), Denise and Martin Clark (Savannah, Ga.), and Thomas Jr. and Luz Elena Ivory (Ajijic, Mx.). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a multitude of loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 till 4 PM and 6 till 8 PM Wednesday,Sept. 9th at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 101 N. Brevard Ave. in Cocoa Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, Sept. 10th at Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach. Interment will be In Our Saviour's Memorial Garden on Friday, September 11th at 9:30 A.M.
Daughter and sister, mother and grandmother, wife and friend- Agnes was a paradigm to all in every role of life. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
