Andrew Victor Lankes

Andrew Victor Lankes passed away peacefully in his sleep in his home in Cocoa Beach, FL on April 10, 2010. He was 61 years old. Andrew was born in Buffalo, New York on December 16, 1948, to Mary Jo Callahan and Victor Lankes. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School in Buffalo, and graduated from Northeastern University with his master's degree in Business. Andy had many good friends through high school and college, especially as a Red Cap member in Buffalo. After college, Andy loved to travel the world and he would share his experiences with everyone he met. After a brief time in Dallas, Andy settled in Cocoa Beach in 1994. He was self-employed as a mortgage broker, travel agent, and entrepreneur. He helped many clients obtain mortgages, and his abilities and expertise were well respected in the business world. Andy's kind heart, joyful spirit, and outgoing personality will be remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was overflowing with love, friendship and laughter. If success can be measured by the number of people touched by his life, then Andy was wildly successful. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his brother, Michael (Cheryl) Lankes, a niece, Mikaylee Lankes, and a nephew, Carter Lankes. A funeral mass will be help at Our Savior Catholic Church in (Cocoa Beach) on Saturday, April 17 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Savior Catholic Church in his memory.
