Anthony Vincent Ottaviano

Anthony (Tony) Vincent Ottaviano peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Angel Guardian Assisted Living of Merritt Island. Anthony was born in Watervliet, New York on July 16, 1921 and lived in both upstate New York and Pennsylvania before moving to Merritt Island in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose; sons, David (Cathy) and Noel (Darlene); grandchildren, Chad, Kyle, Lisa, Kate and Daryl; and special family members Carolyn Scrom, Jean Cameron, George and Connie D' Agostino, Gloria Santilli and Evelyn Prime. Tony retired as an Electrical Engineer with General Electric after 35 years. He was an early designer of microelectronics for the aerospace industry and a recipient of General Electric's "One in a Thousand" award. In his spare time he enjoyed building, wood crafting, boating, and tinkering. Tony was a generous, selfless person who will be missed greatly by all. He had numerous friends and always helped others. A memorial gathering to honor his life will be held at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, Cocoa Beach, on Friday March 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A mass will be held at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Merritt Island on Saturday March 20th at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tony's name to Angel Guardian Assisted Living, 280 Bahama Drive, Merritt Island, FL 32952 or the Hospice of St. Francis, 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville, FL 32780.
