Ardella M.(Della) August, 5240 Watermill Ln., Titusville, FL Della passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her children Saturday, May 16, 2009. She was born in Hartford, CT on August 15, 1916 to 'the late Henry and Bertha Mirick. Della lived most of her life in Simsbury, Connecticut. Children: Beverly J.(Mildren) O'Connell of Titusville, FL; Raymond H. Mildren (Barbara) of Montgomery, TX; Karen A.(Mildren) Jones of Raymond, NH. Grandchildren: Marc O'Connell; Jo-Ann Lizon; Joyce O'Connell; Linda Spahr; Brian O'Connell; Kevin O'Connell; Keith Mildren; Scott Mildren; Dwayne Valerio. Pre-deceased by her late husband, Albert R. August; 2 sisters, Maud deGarmo and Frances Rust; 3 brothers, Albert, Charles and John Mirick; grandson Derrick Valerio and 2 son-in-laws Dan O'Connell and Rod Jones. The family is very grateful for the loving care tendered to Della in her final days by the nurses and staff of Hospice of St. Francis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St. Francis, 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville, FL, 32780 .. Services will be held in Simsbury, CT at a later date. Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Viera is handling local arrangements.
