Barbara Sims

Barbara Jane Sims, 80, passed away Saturday, July 10th, 2010 at her home with her two sons, Steve and Patrick by her side. She was born in Lawton, Ok. In 1930 and had lived in the area since 1964 where she had worked and volunteered at the Cape Canaveral Library for 25 years. She was also a proud member of the local D.A.R. chapter. She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, James Carl Sims, who passed away in 1982. She is survived by two sons, Steve (Karen) Sims of Chapel Hill, N.C. and Pat Sims of Melbourne, and a granddaughter, Bailey Ann France-Sims. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, July 13th at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 101 N. Brevard Ave., in Cocoa Beach.
