Bertil Warner

Bertil R. Warner, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at The Place in Merritt Island. Bertil was born to the late Carl A. Warner and Astrid L. Erickson on October 22, 1919 in Jamestown, NY. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from GE. He is survived by his brother, William Warner; daughters, Barbara Wood, Joan Davis and Brenda Bird; steps-sons, Randolph Williams, Don Williams and Howard Williams. Bertil was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Freymeyer; second wife, Emily Jones and his brother, Carl Warner. Visitation will be held from 4 till’ 6pm on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Health Center of Merritt Island, 500 Crockett Road, Merritt Island, FL 32952.
