Cornelia Blonder, ""Corkey"", 74, of Merritt Island, passed away on February 7, 2010. She is the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Blonder; loving mother of Jennifer Weir. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 7 step children, 1 brother, and a host of loving relatives and a wide circle of dear friends. Originally from Wayland, New York, Corkey was also a long time resident of the New London, Connecticut area before moving to Merritt Island in 1987. Corkey will be remembered as an enthusiastic card player, passionate sports fan, great cook and a loving, lively friend to all. Friends are invited to join her family in bidding this vibrant spirit farewell on Saturday, February 20, at 9:30 a.m. for a brief internment ceremony at The Church of our Saviour Memorial Garden in Cocoa Beach. All are invited to gather directly after the ceremony in the meeting room at Our Saviour for refreshments and to remember Corkey.
