David M. Penrod

David Penrod, 83, was born 03/24/1943 in Detroit, Michigan. The son of Robert F. and Marion L (Sutter) Penrod. He is survived by his wife Patricia of 62 years of a fantastic marriage that began on 04/04/1962. What a BLESSING. He is also survived by two siblings, Michael (John Slater), and Barbara (Maria). Sons, Donald M. (Sherry), Douglas M (Katrina), and Darrin M (Stevetta). His granddaughters are Grace, Brianna (Aaron), Brooke, and Danielle (Mike). Greatgrandchildren Olivia, Owen, Lyla, Hank and Cameron (Jeznna), as well as many nephews and nieces.

David worked for Kmart for 36 years, for the Apparel side (Holly Stores) and started as a stockboy. He worked his way up from a stockboy to an Assistant Manager to the Hong Kong office. Then came back after 3 years to New Jersey. Through the years, David made many trips to the Far East. He returned back to New Jersey as a Merchandise Manager. Then he went to Troy, Michigan, as Head of Accessories. He was then promoted to Merchandise Manager over the Far East Offices. David’s last position was as Vice President. After 36 years, David retired, and moved to West Branch, Michigan and lived there for 7 years. We then settled in our condo in Cocoa Beach, FL.

What a life! His story is bigger than what is on this page, and he had and gave to his family.
