Melbourne, Florida Dorothy J. Baden, 87 passed away at her home in Indian River Colony Club in Melbourne, FL. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Where she graduated from Fontbonne Hall Academy and attended Packer Collegiate Institute. An Army wife, she traveled the world with post in Germany, Taiwan, Okinawa and Panama, as well as numerous posts in the US. She was a championship golfer, bowler and duplicate bridge player, as well as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Robert Baden, her daughter, Gail Kangas, her son, Edward Bennett, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, 3 step-children, 8 step-grandchildren and a step great grand daughter A celebration of her life will be held at the Indian River Colony At Ease Club at noon on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Her funeral service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a time to be determined.
