Douglas Alexander Kinder, Jr., 76, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He was born, December 18, 1933, in Los Angeles, CA, and served his country for 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. After retirement, Douglas continued to serve his country in important military contracts while employed as a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst at Pan Am World Services, Computer Sciences Raytheon and Lockheed Martin Marietta. One of the highlights of his civilian career was the time he spent on the USNS Observation Island. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Mr. Kinder is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Silvia; three children, Karen DiPaulo-Buckman (Gil) of Cocoa Beach, FL, Margaret Marie Marshal (James) of Palm Bay, FL, and Douglas A. Kinder III (Norma) of Zephyrhills, FL; and three grandchildren, Anthony Taylor Kinder, Sylvia DiPaulo and Emmanuel Alexander Kinder. Viewing hours are Monday, May 10th, 3:00 – 6:00 PM at the Beckman-Williamson Funeral in Cocoa Beach. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 11th, at 10:00 AM, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. After the service, internment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Hospice of St. Francis, Divine Mercy Catholic Church or the Veteran’s Administration.
