Frances Ames
April 22, 1928 — February 2, 2013
Frances H. Ames,age 84, deeply loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Feb. 2, 2013. Frances was born in Pennsylvania and was the oldest of seven children. She graduated from Moosic High School in Moosic, Pennsylvania. She later married Stephen Falcioni and had 3 children. The family moved to Merritt Island, Florida in 1962, where Frances worked at Audubon Elementary School and Clearlake and Edgewood Jr. High Schools before working as a secretary and administrative computer assistant at the Kennedy Space Center. She retired in Clearwater, Florida and later moved back to Brevard County, where she volunteered at Cape Canaveral Hospital.
Frances enjoyed writing, traveling, and above all, family.
Her beloved husband, Kenneth Ames, brother, William Herron, and parents Harvey and Mary Herron preceded her in death.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Diane Falcioni, Stephen Falcioni (Sue), and JoAnn Godsey (Rob); her grandchildren, Kelly Sickman (Eric), Mindy Ramirez (Justin), Joey Falcioni, Tony Falcioni, Melanie Godsey, and Erica Godsey; 4 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Rockledge United Methodist Church. The family will greet friend 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rockledge United Methodist Church.
