Frank E. Hedrick

Frank E. ""Gene"" Hedrick, 62, of St. Petersburg, passes away Friday, April 17, 2009. Gene grew up in the East Palatka/Hastings Area. He attended school in Palatka for 11 years and graduated from Hastings High School Class of ""64"". After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served 3 years. Gene received his BA degree from University of North Florida. While living in St Petersburg Frank worked at Home Income Tax Services for 15 years. He is preceded in death by his mother Ruth Hedrick and his father Jack Berry; his twin sister Judy Hedrick Adams; his adopted parents and grandparents, George R. and Marjorie A. Hedrick. He is survived by his son, Scott Hedrick; grandson, Austin Hedrick; brother, George Hedrick; aunt's, Sarah Brantley and Carrie Hedrick. He will be missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, May 1, 2009 at Florida National Cemetery with military honors. A second memorial will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00AM in Palatka, FL at Masters Funeral Home with a reception to follow at College Park Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 3435 Crill Avenue, Palatka.
