George (Mike) Anderson 86, devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away August 15, 2014 following a brief illness. He was born in Rochester, New York on
December 15, 1927 and moved to Florida in 1965. He was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Robin, in 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jeanne, and son Michael (Vicki). Also surviving are 4 loving grandchildren, Michael,Jr., Kristen, Brett Anderson, and Melissa (Daniel) Ensell and 2 great grandsons, Jackson and Dylan Ensell, sister Sally Beasley, sisters-in-law Catherine Pasquini, Madeline Intrieri and brother-in-law,
Col. John Ciucci and many nieces and nephews.
Dr. Anderson was an educator, creative artist, illustrator, and mentor. He was employed at Eastman Kodak Company for 15 years and a Professor in the Art & Philosophy Department at Miami-Dade Community College for 35 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 6125 in Rockledge, Florida.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community Church in Viera on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Shriners Club for Children.
