Hazel L. Cost

Hazel Lewis Cost, age 90, died at home on Feb.15, 2010 after a brief illness. Born in Vineland, New Jersey, she married Robert Cost in 1949, and relocated to Boulder, Colorado. In Boulder, she was involved in real estate. As a realtor, Hazel helped with the first large condominium development and especially loved serving as their social director. She eventually ended up in Cocoa Beach where she resided for over 30 years. Hazel's most important profession was that of being a ""Mom"", but she also was a member of the ""Nine Holers"" in Cocoa Beach. Her interests included decorating, which she continued well on in to her 80's, and gourmet cooking. She was an accomplished painter. In recent years, she enjoyed visiting friends on her daily trip to the pool and wearing one of her hats. She is survived by daughters, Sheryl Cost, Cocoa Beach and Susan (John) Sidwell, Boulder, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cost. Hazel will be missed by many. A celebration of her life is planned for March 11, 2010 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at 190 Pinellas Lane #306, Cocoa Beach.
