February 2, 1930 — August 8, 2009
Jack McCoy Warlick, 79, of Merritt Island, FL passed away early Saturday morning, August 8, 2009. A much loved husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Betty, and their children Randy McCoy Warlick (Deedee) of Charlotte, NC, Candis Hall (James) of Douglas, GA, and Brad Varnell of Merritt Island, FL; grandchildren Kevin McCoy Warlick (Brandy), Kelli Simmons (Mickey), William Warlick, Madelyn Warlick, Amber Schwartz (Jacob) and Jordan Peavey. In addition, he is survived by six great grandchildren, brother Danny Warlick (Gale), numerous nieces and nephews, and best friends of 50 years, Ron D. and Diane Bigbee. He was predeceased by his parents, Guy McCoy and Estelle B. Warlick and brother Thomas A. Warlick, as well as his faithful companion, Bear.
He was a member of Brevard Masonic Lodge #113, Scottish Rite of Orlando, Azan Shrine Temple, Melbourne and the New Smyrna Beach Elks Club. Jack was a licensed pilot and avid saltwater sport fisherman. He retired from Southern Bell in 1985 after completing 35 years of service.
The family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. Guillermo Sanabria, Dr. Eugene Killeavy and the staff of the Weusthoff Hospital Cardiac Surgery Unit for their compassionate care of our husband and father.
