James Belcher

James A. Belcher passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010. He was born in Bluefield, W.Va. on March 15, 1949 and moved to Cocoa, Fl. In 1959. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Alvin and son Bradley Belcher. Jim is survived by his wife Barbara, two sons, Jamie (wife Charlotte) and Scott and two stepsons, Michael and Steve Ballans and mother Lola and three grandchildren Ashley Ballans and Jared and Amber Belcher. Jim was a teacher and a coach for 31 years in Brevard County. He was an avid golfer, played men’s softball, refereed basketball, and umpired softball. He was best known for his passion for coaching . As a teacher and coach he had an impact on many of his student’s lives. Jim was a member of King Street Baptist Church in Cocoa, Fl. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home 5400 Village Dr. Viera, Fl. Funeral Services will be held Wed. March 17, 2010 at 4PM at the Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home Viera with interment following at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge.
