James Wilhite

Viera James E. Wilhite, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Wuesthoff Hospice Care Center in Rockledge. Jim was born in Princeton, Indiana and came to Viera in 1991 from Hieleah. He retired after 36 years with Eastern Airlines, as Manager in Materials Distribution. In Viera he worked for Quest Diagnostics for 10 years. Jim was a volunteer at the VA Clinic in Viera, served in the US Air Force and was a member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he organized blood drives sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Lodge # 6125. Jim was a lifetime donor of more than 18 gallons. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Vernetha Wilhite and four brothers, Fred, Bill, Carl and Don. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean; sons, Robert of Viera, Paul (Margaret) of Palm Coast, Phil of South Daytona and grandchildren, Ryan, Jonathan, Courtney and Kyle. Visitation will be held at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Viera at 6PM, Thursday, June 11, 2009 followed by a memorial service at 7PM. Interment will be held privately at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Wuesthoff Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O.
