Janet H. Clement

Janet H. Clement, 77, formerly of Bridgeport, CT, died quietly in her home on June 17, 2010. Born August 10, 1932 to the late Melville and Mary Hendley in Middletown, CT, she lived in the Bridgeport area for 50 years. She was predeceased by two children, John H. Clement of Bridgeport, CT and Marjory Clement Burgos of Miami Beach, FL. Janet moved to Florida after retiring from the City of Bridgeport as the Pension Manager for Police and Firemen. After settling down in Florida, she became an active member of the Brevard County Optimist Club and started a local Red Hatters. She is survived by her sister Barbara Hendley of Lakeland Fl, her brother H. John Hendley and his wife Lisa of Glens Falls, NY, seven children, Laura Clement of Eagles Nest, NC, Eugene Clement and his wife Jaqueline of East Granby, CT, Mary Febus and her spouse Raymond of Orlando, FL, Rebecca Walter of Cocoa Beach, FL, Janet Groff and her spouse Michael of Lebanon, PA, Edward Clement of Bridgeport, CT, Elliott Clement and his wife Carrie of Cocoa, FL, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 niece. Beckman-Williams in Cocoa Beach is handling the arrangements. A service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Our Savior Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Janet Clement to Hospice of St. Francis, 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville, FL 32780.
