John William O'Brien
September 5, 1931 — January 18, 2010
John (Pat & Patsy), W. O'Brien Jr., 78 died January 18, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret (Cullen). Born in Winchester, MA, he was the son of the late John and Catherine O'Brien. Pat was an electrician by trade and retired from H.P. Hood. He was a US Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 77. With his wife Margaret, he moved from Woburn, MA to Cocoa Beach two years ago.
Survivors include his wife Margaret; Six children, Maureen, John (Gayle), James, Joseph, Francis, Michael (Christine); Five grandchildren John, Michael, Callie, Kate, and Shannon; sister, Mary Elizabeth Kimball, brother, Richard (Ann), and aunt Sister Romula Cullen, CSJ. He is further survived by long time family friends Marcia Quackenbush and Dann Rhone.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of Our Saviour, Cocoa Beach, on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 10:30AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to: St Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Our Saviour's Parish, 5301 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931 or Hospice of Health First, 1900 Dairy Rd, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
