KATHERINE MOTT FRANZ
Katherine 62 passed away peacefully Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring, Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Topeka, Kansas November 2, 1947 and resided in Saint Augustine, FL... Katherine previously resided in Cocoa Beach , FL. employed at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, prior to retiring in 2003.
Katherine was the loving wife of Carl J. Franz for the past 18 years and mother of three children. Brian S. Mott of Saint Augustine, Fl., Lauren L. Mott of Chicago, IL., and Michael D. Mott who preceded her in death (Melissa).
Katherine left three beautiful and precious grandchildren Dylan and Merrick Mott, daughter and son of Brian and Taylor of Saint Augustine and Cameron Mott son of her caring daughter in law Melissa A. Mott of Orlando, Fl. Their presence always brightened up her days.
She is survived by her Mom and Stepdad, Helen and Wanless Damron of Rockledge, Florida, Brother Alan Rudy and companion Valerie of Saint Albans N.S.W., Australia and Sister Carol and Tyson Hughes of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
She will also be greatly missed and her memories will be cherished by her stepchildren and their families Lori A. Guyer and Steven of Southold, N.Y., Carl A. Franz and Anna of Altadena, CA. and Lisa A. Plaia and Edward of East Moriches, N.Y.
Her passions were always her extended family, in addition to friends, neighbors and tennis partners here in Saint Augustine and Cocoa Beach.
Flowers are gratefully declined and those wishing so may make donations in Katherine’s memory to the 2010 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, 3537 N. Wilton Ave., Apt 4, Chicago, IL. 60657 and/or the Northeast Florida Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL. 32257
Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home (101 North ,Brevard Ave.. Cocoa Beach, FL 32931 ) is in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Service conducted to celebrate Katherine’s life will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Cocoa Beach
