Marie Louise Bee, 87, passed away at her home in Cocoa Beach on Monday, September 28th, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gloucester, NJ, in 1922, and as a teenager joined the Navy WAVES for service during WWII. While in the service, she met and married Val, the love of her life. She and Val first came to Cocoa Beach in 1969. In 1971, they moved their family to Alaska where they designed and built their dream log home. Marie and Val returned to Cocoa Beach in 1975. Marie is survived by her children Valita, Russ, Don, Martin, Val and their spouses, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her brother Tom Williams of New Jersey, and many others in the extended family. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 1st, at Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach. Interment with full military honors, next to her beloved husband, Valentine Charles Bee, will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis at a later date. Marie had an adventurous spirit, worked in the service of many through her church, and will be greatly missed by all who love her. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Our Saviour's School, 5301 N. Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, 32931.
