Stella Arendas obituary STELLA ARENDAS Stella Owoc Arendas, 91, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at her home in Cocoa Beach. Stella was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Vero Beach in 1944 with her husband, Elmer and their two boys where they opened Arendas Groves on South US 1. Stella retired from Indian River Citrus Bank in the mid 1970's to work with husband, Elmer and son, Gary at Elmer's Trading Post, which Gary and Elmer opened in 1975. In the mid 1980's they sold both businesses and moved to Cocoa Beach to be near their son, Gary and his family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer J. Arendas; son, Ronald E. Arendas; and grandson, Britt Arendas. Stella is survived by her son, Gary M. Arendas and his wife, Chickie Arendas; grandchildren, Donna Jassmann and her husband John of Duluth, GA, Yvonne Arendas and her husband Mert of Cocoa Beach, FL, Kurt Arendas and his wife, Christine of St. Cloud, FL, Kevin Arendas of Colorado, Stacey Arendas of Vero Beach, FL, Valerie Arendas of Vero Beach, FL, and Katrina Arendas of Vero Beach, FL; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Chaney Jassmann of Duluth, GA, Alyssa Kesserling of Cocoa Beach, FL, Claire and Cole Arendas of St. Cloud, FL Alexis, Kara, Eryn and Jordan Arendas of Vero Beach, FL, Jade Arendas of Vero Beach, FL and Bridgett Arendas of Miami, FL. Calling hours will be held from 5 until 7pm Monday, November, 17, 2008 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Our Saviour's Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Vero Beach, Florida at 3pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VITAS Hospice, 4450 W. Eau Gallie Blvd. Suite 280, Melbourne, FL 32934.
