Susanne Dolph

Susanne Emily Dolph, (nee Swanson), was taken into the arms of her Lord Jesus on Friday, March 12, 2010, and reunited with her beloved husband, Burton, who preceded her, into Paradise, just a few months ago. They shared a lifetime of love, honor and devotion, emulating a deep, abiding, respect; first with each other, and then with all of us who were blessed by the impact they made upon our lives. Born in Highland Park, IL on January 8, 1940, Sue was the sixth of seven children. She and Burt were married, on March 2, 1957, then showered their boundless love upon the most innocent of foster children and, in years to pass, their own. Sue has entrusted her passion for life to her brothers; Don Roberts, in Glendale, AZ, William Swanson, in Cape Canaveral, FL, Harold Swanson, in Rockledge, FL and Denis Swanson, in Deland, FL. Her sense of humor will be carried on by her sisters; Joan Woolley, in Melbourne, FL and Merrie Gibson, in Viera, FL. Sue’s gift of persistence remains with her son, John, in Melbourne, FL; son, Tracy, is tasked with her indomitable spirit; daughter, Karen, in Melbourne, FL, will harbor her profound sense of compassion and, granddaughters, Angela and Emily, in Bridgeport, PA, shall be the vessels for her love of music, along with their mom, Adele, also most beloved. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Viera, FL 32955. Interment will be held, at a later date, in Ivanhoe Cemetery, Ivanhoe, IL. In lieu of flowers, please make gifts to the American Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
