Thelma Williams Blotter
With peaceful dignity and the admiring love of her family, Thelma Williams Blotter, age 89, died on Sunday, October 25, 2009. She was a resident of Rockledge, Florida.
She was born in 1920 in Coatsville, Pa. She moved to Largo, Florida in 1958 to serve as Director of Christian Education for Christ's Presbyterian Church. She later moved to Cocoa Beach to become Presbytery Executive for Northeast Florida Presbytery. She served as Associate Executive for Central Florida Presbytery and served a term as its elected Moderator. She also served as a former Moderator of The Synod of South Atlantic for the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Thelma was preceded in death by her husbands Leon H. Williams Jr. and Frank Blotter. She is survived by her daughter Judith (Allard) Smith; and her sons, Gerald (Kay) Williams, Dennis (Mickey) Williams, and Ronald (Heather) Williams. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th, 2 p.m., at Merritt Island Presbyterian Church.
