Theodore ""Ted"" Allen Wolf, Sr. , 76 of Viera, FL died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Wuesthoff Hospice Care Center.
He was born October 1932 in Hackensack, NJ to the late John and Edith Wolf of Rutherford, NJ. Ted served his country first in the Naval Reserves and then the Air Force during 1950-1956 and was employed by Bendix Space Lab/Allied-Signal Aerospace Co. in Teterboro, NJ as a Senior Engineer before retiring in 1993. In 1995, Ted and Nancy moved from their longtime home of West Milford, New Jersey to Viera, Florida.
Ted is survived by his wife of over 53 years Nancy Ann Rutan, his son and his wife, William and Catherine, his daughter and her husband, Nancy and David Moore, nine grandchildren, his brother John ""Jack"" Wolf of WoodRidge, NJ. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Theodore Allen Wolf, Jr.
Ted was an avid golfer, a volunteer for many years at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge, an American Red Cross CPR Instructor for the Central Bergen Chapter for many years, as well as a member of the Indian River Amateur Radio Club. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather enjoying many adventures with his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive Viera, FL 32955.
