Vera G. Barrett

Vera Annette G. Barrett, 76, joined her beloved husband in heaven on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Born in Trenton, FL, she traveled the world as an Air Force wife; she came to Cocoa Beach in 1972 and loved it so much, she decided to raise her family there. She was a member of the Cocoa Beach Community Church. She was a beautiful soul and a devoted loving mother, in a world where she never met a stranger. Vera is survived by her three daughters, Donne (John) Busto, Helen (Ed) Rhodes and Elizabeth (Michael) Bass; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three loving sisters and her beloved cat Dodger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Barrett; parents, James B. and Avy D. Gay;brothers, James B. Gay, Jr. and Hayward D. Gay; and grandson, Brian K. Bass. A visitation will be 2pm till' 3pm on Friday, June 12, 2009 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach with a memorial service to follow at 3pm. Our mother will have her final resting place in Meansville, GA on Monday, June 15, 2009.
