Walt Brown

Walt Brown, 88, passed away June 25th, 2009 at his home with his family by his side. Walt was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and was a veteran of WW II having served in the Army Air Corp as a flight mechanic. He had owned and operated several service stations in the Philadelphia area before going to work for Eastern Airlines in New York. Walt retired and moved to Merritt Island where he was active in the Cocoa Beach Rotary Club. He was a past president, sergeant of arms , and chairman of the gifts for the children at the Central Brevard’s Sharing Center for Christmas. Walt is survived by his wife of 66 years, Florence; two sons, Ken and Larry; a sister, Doris, and four grandchildren.
