Lt. Commander William Craig Patterson, Jr., only child of Marion Quick and William Patterson, Sr. died, October 30, 2008 at his home in Cocoa Beach. He was born October 14, 1925 in Detroit, MI. He grew up in Maryland and enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17. He graduated from the University of Maryland and retired from the Navy as a Lt. Commander.
Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Marianne and his son Craig Patterson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite and by a large number of caring friends and family, including four children, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Bill and Marguerite were active, supportive and proud residents of Cocoa Beach, since 1975. They enjoyed an active social life with their friends, which included 8 O’clock mass every Sunday with breakfast following.
Bill sang with the Brevard College Chorale for many years and enjoyed his part-time job at ACE Hardware.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on, Monday, November 3, 2008, 10:30am at Our Saviour’s Catholic Church.
Bill’s family will greet friends at the reception following the mass.
