beloved husband and father, born of Croatian parents in Seattle on July 26, 1917, and died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 27, 2009.After attending Saint Margarets in Seattle where he loved being an altar boy and choir boy, he went on to graduate from Queen Anne High School.Tony became an avid and renowned rodeo rider, which was his passion in life even after he retired from rodeo. During WWII he worked at Todd Shipyards in Seattle. He went on to meet and marry his wife of 65 years, Lorraine Franich, and had 2 daughters. In 1957 the family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, to live, and to work for his brother, Joe Franich of Quality Meats. Returning the following year to live in Edmonds, WA, he spent the rest of his life there, working as a driver and a Teamster.Horses were his love and his special horse, Dusty, who lived 35 years, was the love of his life after his family. Tony enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and daughter and son-in-law, Connie Tud; cruising; motor homing; anything that involved the beach or the sea; and breakfast at Dennys. He loved life and was a good man who will be missed dearly .He leaves behind his loving wife Lorraine of Edmonds, WA; dear daughter and son-in-law Connie Tud Chenoweth of Edmonds, WA; dear sister Cora Jones of Seattle; dear niece and nephew Marilyn Jones of Pacific Beach, WA Rick Jones of Las Vegas, NV; dear friend, Donnell Bacus and was preceded in death by loving parents Frank and Andra Franich of Seattle; and beloved brother Joe Franich of Fairbanks.
