Brian James Cleaver

April 29, 1970 — February 20, 2016

Surrounded by family and friends Brian passed away at Swedish Edmonds Hospital. Preceding his final moments, family and friends toasted Brian with his drink of choice a single barrel Jack Daniels. We toasted to the man we will miss. The man who made you smile and laugh. The father who had the gift of somehow having an answer to every question his children asked him and put his family above everything else. The friend you trusted to always have your back. Brian was born in Vancouver, WA to Richard and Karen Cleaver, three years later his sister Brenda was born. Brian entered the Army in 1987 and served in Manheim, Germany. After serving he came back to Camas, WA. He met his wife Melinda Lockhorn while working at Sharp Microelectronics. They were married February 3, 1996. Soon after their daughters Megan and Paige were born. Brians work in the MEMS industry took the family to Lynnwood in 1999. He continued working in the MEMS industry as a Sr. engineer at the Fluke laboratory on the University of Washington campus. Brians favorite pass times were working around the house, playing on his basses, gaming, adding his voice to political forums and barbequing for his family and friends. Brian was most content when he was home surrounded by his family. We know his friendship and love still surrounds all those who he has touched in his life.
