Daniel Dan or Danny Arntson, 57, of Mountlake Terrace, Wash. passed away on Dec. 29, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Maria; daughters, Kristine and Ashley; mother, Barbra; and sisters, Wendy and Vicki. Dan was born in Seattle on Dec. 3, 1958 to Barbra and Frank Arntson. Dan grew up in Shoreline, Wash. and graduated from Shorecrest High School in 1978. Later that year, he joined the United States Air Force, and was stationed in South Korea, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines, where he met his wife, Maria. Dan retired as a Staff Sergeant after 20 years in the Air Force at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico. Since moving back to Washington State, Dan worked for the Port of Seattle, Alaska Airlines, and most recently Comcast. Dan enjoyed NASCAR, cheering on the Seahawks, walking the dog and talking to the neighbors. He will be remembered as a kind and friendly man and a loving husband and father. A memorial service will be held at Saint Marks Church in Shoreline, on Thursday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. He will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash.
