James Arvid Anderson

Nov 26, 1932 — Mar 23, 2025

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to enjoy a fritter, share a story of Jimbo, and gather with loved ones in his honor.

James “Jimbo” Arvid Anderson passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in Washburn, ND, and raised in Seattle, WA, Jimbo was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy before returning home to marry his high school sweetie, Dorothy.

Jimbo and Dorothy shared 65 wonderful years together, raising a family, running successful businesses, traveling the world, and later enjoying retirement side by side. After Dorothy’s passing in 2019, Jimbo carried on the legacy they built, surrounded by family and friends. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—celebrating Taco Tuesdays, indulging in Fritter Fridays, and bringing loved ones together for every holiday and special occasion.

Jimbo is survived by his children Russ (Connie), Cindi (Ken), and Linda (Archie), as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Karen (Bob). His kindness, warmth, humor, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A man of faith, Jimbo found comfort in knowing he was ready to go home to his Maker and be reunited with Dorothy once more.

A celebration of Jimbo’s life will be held May 10th at 1pm at Maple Park LB Church in Lynnwood, Wa. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to enjoy a fritter, share a story of Jimbo, and gather with loved ones in his honor.
