Kathryne Marie Sutherland

Kathie was born on January 19, 1931 in Seattle to Clarence and Nannie Walberg. She attended Ballard High School and with her husband Harold Olden, moved to Shoreline and raised their three children. The family spent happy years boating in Washington and B.C. waters. Later, she was married to Bert Sutherland and they continued boating and cruising for many years. Kathie was the Administrator of Four Freedoms House for 25 years and was the first female administrator the company had ever appointed. She passed away peacefully on July 29, 2018 with her family by her side and we know she has gone to the place the Lord has prepared for her. She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Jim) Higgins and son Kurt (Lois) Olden and her three grandchildren Katelyn (Mike) Lindstrom, Gregory Olden and Laurel Olden. She was preceded in death by her son Ryan Olden. Her memorial service will be Friday, August 17 at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 18826-3rd Avenue NW, Shoreline, WA at 2:00.
