"Webster - Andrew Rothney, 53, died peacefully on August 26, 2016 in Boston. He was born June 6, 1963 in Boston, MA, son of the late William Rothney and Joan (Armstrong) Rothney. Andy lived for many years in Framingham and Holland, Massachusetts and enjoyed the many activities at his day program at the Center of Hope in Southbridge. He especially enjoyed attending many years of summer camp at Camp Arrowhead in Natick. As soon as camp was over for the year, Andy would start asking when Santa was coming. Andy loved watching the Dukes of Hazard, John Wayne and the old Westerns. He enjoyed going to the lake and watching the boats and the birds. Besides his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Marc Rothney, Bruce Rothney, and Lynne Rothney-Kozlak, along with his guardian, Kathleen Veroude. A service to remember his life will be held at the Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, (Rte 20) on Friday, Sept. 2 at 12:00 p.m. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center of Hope, 38 Walnut St, Southbridge MA 01550.
