"Arlene C. (Keith) Grimes, 76, of Pleasant St., died Sunday at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Ware, March 23, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Helen (Armstrong) Keith and has lived in Palmer all of her life. A 1946 graduate of Palmer High School, she worked for the former Colorado Fuel & Iron Corp. and New England Telephone Company many years ago. Arlene was a past active member of the St. Thomas Rosary Sodality and also the American Legion Auxiliary. She leaves her husband of 56 years, John M. Grimes, along with her two sons Michael J. of Palmer and Timothy of Clearwater, FL, as well as her two daughters Suzanne Gelinas and her husband David of Monson, and Patricia Beaulieu and her fiancé George Yacone of Bristol, CT. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and her sister Marjorie Larzazs of Ware. A funeral service in her memory will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by burial in Four Corners Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. "
