"Chicopee -Beverly J. (Debour) Korzec, 65, passed away unexpectedly September 11, 2016 at her home. Born March 23, 1951 in Sringfield, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Streeter) Debour. Beverly has lived in Chicopee for the past 6 years, previously a longtime resident of Palmer. For almost 25 years, she worked in the medical records department of Baystate Medical Center at their Holyoke Office. Beverly was a member of the New England Doo Wop Society and took much enjoyment in shopping, car shows, live music and trips to the beach, most especially Ocean Park in Maine with her family. She loved animals and frequently visited the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Shelter. Her family fondly agrees that she was a collector of many things. Beverly will be dearly missed by her children, Heather Korzec and her partner Theresa McDonald of Monson, Brian Korzec of Palmer, Erin Gibbs and her husband Greg of Three Rivers as well as her sister Annette Debour of E.Longmeadow, brother-in-law, Richard Pomeroy of Chicopee and father of their children, Michael Korzec of Palmer. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Janice Pomeroy. Visitation will be Friday, Sept 16th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home with a service to begin at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, 627 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104. "
