"Monson - Carolyn (Cline) Hermanson passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Jenny Watson and wife for over 40 years of the late Harold Hermanson. She spent her life in Monson as a homemaker and mother. Her favorite times were spent at home with her children and grandchildren, working in her beautiful flower gardens and hosting many family celebrations especially Christmas Eve. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers David, Douglas, Robert, Richard, and Prescott (Buster) Watson and sisters Marion Carlson and Judy LeCours. She leaves two sons, David of Monson and Louis and wife Sandy of Bondsville, grandchildren Kristen, Eric, Seth, and Derrick, as well as two great granddaughters Katy and Julianne. She is also survived by three sisters and their husbands, Ruth and John Vadnais of Ware, Kathryn and John Goodrich of Sunset Beach, NC and Linda and Edward Culverwell of Ipswich, MA. In addition she leaves many other extended family members and good friends, sisters-in-law Cecile, Edna and Christina Watson, brother-in-law Gabriel LeCours and especially niece Gail Nivens and cousin Joyce Gregorie. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 10am in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Thorndike St, Palmer. There are no calling hours. Family and friends will meet at St. Joseph's Club, 8 Commerical St, Thorndike, immediately following the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Baystate VNA and Hospice, 50 Maple St, Springfield, MA 01103 or to the National Audubon Society, Audubon Connecticut Chapter, 613 Riversville Rd, Greenwich, CT 06831.
