"Chicopee, Daniel Stewart Livingstone, 39, passed away on July 19, 2016 following a brief illness. Born in Springfield on September 14, 1976, he grew up in Belchertown, attending local schools and graduated from Belchertown High School. He later earned a certificate as an HVAC Technician from Branford Hall in Springfield. At the time of his passing, Daniel was employed at National Seating and Mobility in Chicopee as a technician providing home services to clients with disabilities. Previously, he was a Warehouse Specialist employed by Sweeney Transportation of Chicopee, C & S Wholesale Grocers of Hatfield, and Diane's Bakery of Enfield, CT. Daniel was also employed by the Lego Group in Enfield, CT for many years. Throughout his life, Daniel was an avid baseball player, moving up the ranks from tee ball to the Valley Wheel Over 30 Baseball League where he played first base for the Athletics. Daniel loved all sports. He could outshine any announcer with his commentary and statistics. He rooted for the Red Sox and the Patriots, and remained loyal through thick and thin. Daniel had a lifelong appreciation for fine automobiles and their engineering. He was a talented cook and enjoyed preparing special meals for his family. He loved animals and was deeply attached to his family pets. Daniel had a kind heart, sharp intelligence and a keen sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by his parents Donald S. Livingstone and his wife Carol of Chicopee, and their daughter Maura, his mother Teresa (Hetu) Abbate and her husband Charles, Sr. of Palmer, along with his children Christopher, Charles, Jr. and wife Clair of Weymouth, and daughter Carlie Rena, and Jessica Recchia and husband Dewey of Chicopee. He also leaves his dear sister Mary Blackburn and her husband, Heath of Southbury, CT. His grandmothers, Ruby Fern Livingstone of Granby and Helen O'Connor Hetu of Chicopee, also survive him, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfathers Donald S. Livingstone, Sr., and his "Pepe" Rene A. Hetu. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. All services are being privately held and Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. To honor Daniel's memory, the family requests that donations be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Pl, Brookline, MA 02445, in his memory. "
