"Palmer, Dennis J. “Weasel” Coderre, 48, of Main Street in the Thorndike section of Palmer, died Tuesday at home. Born in Southbridge, October 23, 1956, he was the son of Arthur O. “Red” Coderre of Three Rivers, and the late Yvette (Meunier) Coderre (2003). Dennis worked at the former Federal Paper Board for 17 years, then at Waldorf’s in Chicopee, before returning to Oak Tree Packaging (now Carustar) where he worked from 1993-2005. He was a graduate of Palmer High School and has lived in Three Rivers and Thorndike area all of his life. Dennis was very competitive no matter what he did, from playing cards, to horseshoes or any of the many sports and activities in which he participated. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by a sister Diane L. O’Rourke in 2000. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 19 years, Alma (Davis) Coderre, along with his two daughters Rachel and Amber both at home. He also leaves a brother David and his wife Carleen of Palmer, and many precious nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. (Rte.20) followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory for the benefit of his children to Country Bank for Savings, Four Corners Branch, Palmer, 01069. "
