"Scituate - Donald C. Beers Jr., 86, of Scituate passed away on August 17, 2016 at Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham. Born in Springfield on March 9, 1930 he was the son of the late Donald C. Beers, Sr. and Pricilla (Nims) Beers. Don graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont. He enlisted in the Navy as a aviator during the Korean war. Don spent many years in the Midwest living in Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Don was a manufactures representative. Don retired in Florida and Vermont later moving to Scituate to be closer to his family. Don leaves his three sons and daughter in law, Donald C. Beers III and Amy S. Beers of Duxbury, Richard L. Beers of Duxbury, and David A. Beers of Plymouth, 3 Grandsons and daughters and law, Joshua D. Beers and Caroline of Duxbury, Jake B. Beers and Kim of Westminster Ma. and Adam S. Beers and Jill of Duxbury. Don has 2 great grandchildren, Tyler J. Beers of Westminster and Hadley F. Beers of Duxbury the first female born into the Beers family in 107 years. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 1pm in Brimfield Cemetery, Brimfield, MA. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham."
