Edward S. Czech

"Edward S. Czech, 80, formerly of Belchertown, died Saturday, October 22 in Yarmouth. Born in Belchertown, July 22, 1925, he was the son of the late Stanley and Pauline (Kulig) Czech and was an electrician for the former Tambrands, Inc. for 40 years. He also served as a police officer in Belchertown for 20 years, as well as the town's electrical inspector. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ingrid K. (Carlson)Czech in 1993. He is survived by his son James of Brewster, a daughter Kristina Czech of California, a brother Stanley of Ware and a sister Josephine Nikodem of Bondsville, as well as 4 grandchildren. Mr. Czech was also predeceased by three sisters Mary Czech, Julia Pietryka and Bertha Wojcik, as well as a brother Michael. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple Street, (Rte. 202) followed by burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Palmer. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to the Windsor Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 265 N.
