" Palmer, MA – Emil Boutin, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at home after a courageous battle with cancer with his loving wife Annette by his side. Formerly from East Hartford, CT, he made his home in Palmer, MA and Hallandale, FL. Emil was born in St. Camille, Quebec, Canada on May 26, 1923. He was an employee of G. Fox Inc. in Hartford, CT and Saint Rose Church in East Hartford, CT. He was predeceased by his first wife, Rose (Roy) Boutin, a son, Dennis Blanchet, a sister Emilda Bosse, and several brothers. He is survived by three sisters and their husbands, Carmelle and Gerard Cloutier, Therese and Henrie Chalen and Yvette Boutin all of Canada. He also leaves his children Pierre and Judi Blanchet of Meriden, CT, Louise Blanchet of Cape Canaveral, FL, Michael and Linda Blanchet of Glastonbury, CT, and his loving grandchildren, Jamie Cyr, Kerri Blanchet, Daniel Blanchet and Michelle Plante and Jeffrey Blanchet. Lastly, Emil leaves behind the Royer Family, Richard and Linda Royer, Roger and Denise Royer, Fr. Daniel Papineau, Lisa and Bob Nelson, Diane and Michel Fradette, all of the Royer grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends from Canada to Florida. Emil will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Western MA Division, 59 Bobala Rd., Holyoke, MA 01040 or to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 42B Wright St., Palmer, MA 01069. A funeral service will be Monday at 9:30am from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am in St. Anne’s Church, Palmer. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in East Hartford, CT. Calling hours are Sunday from 2:00-5:00 pm. "
